Close to Blackpool, and overlooking the Irish Sea, Lytham & St. Annes offers a more sedate pace for your holiday than the bright lights further along the coast. Although the price of your holiday rental will inevitably vary throughout the year, there is a wealth of holiday cottages to suit all budgets, offering you maximum flexibility.

If you are a golf fanatic, you will want to visit Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s golf course, which is the venue for the 2012 Open in July. The price of all holiday accommodation around this period obviously reflects the influx of spectators, so you may wish to visit during early May for the Lytham Trophy instead – open internationally to male amateur golfers of an exceptionally high standard.

Other summer events during 2012 include the famous Carnival Fun Day, this year on 8th July, and also the Lytham Proms, on 4th August, with artists including Les Miserables star, tenor Alfie Boe.
