The island of Lindisfarne, which is also known as the Holy island, is situated just off the coast of Northumberland. This tiny island is a popular place for seal spotting and bird watching and more than three hundred different bird species have been recorded here including rare species such as the Brent goose and widgeon. This is also a great place to go hiking and trekking, while Lindisfarne is home to several historic attractions such as Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory.
