This tiny island is a popular place for seal spotting and bird watching and more than three hundred different bird species have been recorded here including rare species such as the Brent goose and widgeon. This is also a great place to go hiking and trekking, while Lindisfarne is home to several historic attractions such as Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory.

People who enjoy shopping while they are on holiday should make sure they take a trip to the Metro Centre. This is the largest shopping centre in the whole of Europe is situated just three miles to the south of the vibrant city of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
