Stainforth is a charming village with a thriving community life in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The village is about three miles from Settle, a bustling market town with excellent shopping facilities, a good selection of restaurants and a thriving market day, when the square is filled with stalls offering a wide range of goods. The Settle-Carlisle Railway, the most scenic in England features the occasional steam train, and the run across the Ribblehead viaduct with its twenty-four arches is an experience not to be missed.
