Grade II listed and dating back to the 15th century with a large south facing garden in a small village of approximately 35 houses. Chapel Cottage is located in a no through road with only 2 houses beyond - so with almost no traffic in the lane you can truly 'get away from it all'!

A brook runs along the boundary of the garden which has a choice of sitting/eating out areas and 2 BBQs. The interior has been finished to a high standard and has been awarded a 4*tourist board grading . There is off road parking for two cars.

The cottage used to be 2 cottages and now consists of three bedrooms/two bathrooms, (one en-suite to the master bedroom), kitchen with breakfast bar and dining/sitting room.

The 3 bedrooms are:
1. Double, king-size bed, en-suite bathroom, access via private stairs- ancient stone spiral staircase or access via main oak stairs and bedroom 3.
2. Twin beds or the beds can be zip & linked together to make a Double (superking) bed.
3. Bunk beds (full size)

Location

Blackford has a lovely church and there are walks, historic houses, Jurassic coast and other places of interest within easy reach. There are renowned pubs and restaurants in the area that provide something for everyone - from quaint to modern! With easy access to north coast (Somerset & Devon) & south coast (Jurassic coast of Dorset, Devon etc) and under one hour from Weymouth - site of Olympics 2012 sailing - there are sandy beaches, quiet coves, great walks and more! Chapel Cottage is within two hours of the centre of London (as well as Heathrow and Gatwick airports). Local airports include Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Bournemouth. The tiny, picturesque village of Blackford is situated on the Dorset/Somerset border within very easy access of the A303. Nearby is the historic town of Sherborne, famous for its abbey, as well as Glastonbury, Wells, Bath, Castle Cary, Bruton and Dorchester are amongst others within easy distance. The surrounding rolling countryside is adjacent to the historic site of Camelot - reputedly the fortress of King Arthur. Towns include Sherborne, Bruton, Castle Cary, Glastonbury, Dorchester, Wells, Salisbury & Bath. Under one hour to the Jurassic coast. National Trust historic houses and gardens (include Montacute, Stourhead, Sherborne Castle) and family attractions (include Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Haynes Motor & Yeovilton Air museums) nearby.
