Birchope Byre is an idyllic peaceful rural retreat, with stunning views toward the rocky outcrop of the Stiperstones. This beautifully converted stone Byre with a slate roof, is finished to a high standard, retaining character, with oak beams, hand crafted oak and elm furniture and fittings, exposed stone and a cosy log buning stove.
The open plan living room with colour T .V.and video/DVD player, has steps leading upto the well equipped kitchen/dining area, with fitted pine kitchen, belfast sink, Cotswold stone floor and granite worktops.
Further steps lead up to the luxury bathroom, with Victorian style roll top bath, toilet, wash basin, separate shower, terracotta floor and heated towel rail. The reclaimed gothic style oak carvings surrounding the mirror are echoed in the hand crafted oak door.
From the living room a double staircase in oak leads to the two bedrooms in the eaves. The family bedroom has a 4 foot bed and a single bed. The other is a double bedroom with the option of a cot. Both bedrooms are full of character with handcrafted furniture in oak and elm and exposed beams.

The private paved and gravel garden has shrubs, flowers, table and chairs, with glorious views across the fields, and walks from the door.
Birchope Byre is situated 1/2 a mile up a farm track which may be accessible only with four-wheel drive in severe frost or snow.

Situated in spectacular walking country in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, between the dramatic rocky outcrop of the Stiperstones, and the stunning heather moorland of the Long Mynd, Birchope Byre is ideally placed to explore this unspoilt area of South Shropshire. Within easy reach of the historic towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury, and conveniently placed to visit the Ironbridge Gorge, a World Heritage Site, with its wealth of interesting museums and Blists Hill Victorian town. Nearby are farm attractions, steam railways, and other activities popular with children. Horse riding, fishing, golf and gliding are available in the locality. Castles, museums, crafts, antiques, nature reserves, and gardens abound in the area, with numerous National Trust and English Heritage properties to visit. There is always something to do, rain or shine! A village shop and 3 pubs serving food are within 3 miles of the Byre. The nearby market town of Bishop's Castle offers shops for basic needs, as well as more individual and unusual shops and galleries. The cafe's and Inns are full of character with 2 of them brewing their own real Ales. Or drive over The Burway across the Long Mynd to visit Church Stretton, known locally as 'Little Switzerland',with it's Antique's market, cafe's and delicatessen.
